The Rick Velotta Scout Spirit Award, established in 2020, stands as a tribute to extraordinary service and unwavering dedication. Named in honor of Rick Velotta — who devoted decades to Troop, Crew, and Pack 399 as a Scoutmaster, Committee Chairman, mentor, and leader — this award recognizes the scout who best embodies the spirit of Scouting in all its forms. Unlike other recognitions, this award cannot be earned through tasks or rank advancement. Instead, one individual is selected each year whose character, leadership, service, and commitment to our scouting family reflect the highest ideals. We are proud to celebrate these distinguished scouts, who continue to inspire through their example and uphold the legacy of excellence, service, and scout spirit.
